Ants
Ants are a very common problem in New Zealand, with 11 native species (which is actually not many compared to other countries). There are also 29 species of ants that were introduced, mainly from Australia.
Generally ants in this country don’t present risks of bites or stings, however they are still a big pain in the neck if they are running all over your kitchen bench!
